This Spa Hi-Limit thermostat (aka spa reset or tub reset) is a safety device designed to prevent damage to the spa that would occur if the spa overheated. The the probe of this high-limit resides in a "drywell" along with the thermostat probe. The spa high-limit with kill power to the spa equipment if the water temperature exceeds 120 degrees. This high-limit is found on the Hot Spring Classic model A,B,C, E, the 1989-1994 Classic model F, 1987-1994 Grandee, 1985-1994 Home Spa/Prodigy, 1984-1994 IO/Sovereign, 1985-1994 Jetsetter and the 1989-1994 Highlife spa models.
