Spa Model Chart
Why do I need to know my spa brand, model & the year it was built?
In the world of Watkins Manufacturing, all life begins with the serial
number. All replacement parts, spa covers & accessories will
refer to a serial number range to identify the correct part for
your spa.
STEP 1-Let's find your serial number!
All the spa brands below, made by Watkins Manufacturing, will have their serial number located on the
wall or floor of the equipment compartment. See examples:
Wall Serial # 1,
Wall Serial # 2,
Floor Serial # 1.
Some early 1980's models of Hot Spring had the serial number on the wall of the filter compartment just above the water line.
NOTE: The spa serial number will never be located on
any components or on the outside of the spa. The serial number will
always begin with one of the letters in the chart below.
The beginning letter(s) of the number serial identifies your spa brand & model. What comes after the letter(s) will tell us what year it was built. See step 2 below.
STEP 2-Now that you have your serial number, here is the rest of the story.
From 1989 forward Watkins Manufacturing began coding their serial numbers with
the quarter and year the spa was built. This
example I-121184
tells us that it is a 1st quarter, 1992 Sovereign, the 1184th Sovereign that
rolled off the assembly line in that quarter.
