It was positioned just after the injector. Its purpose was to prevent the spa from siphoning out through the Kynar tubing in the unlikely event the spa's power was interrupted and the wall mounted Freshwater Ozonator was mounted below the waterline. "Summer Mode" will shut down the Silentflo 5000 circulation pump 8 hours every day. This in turn stops the intake of ozone into the spas plumbing. Since the ozonator is below the water line of the spa, water can start to "syphon out" into the ozonator if the check valve has failed. Price: $35.81 Item #: 71980 Water Check Valve, 1-1/2" I.D./2" O.D.   This "Jet System" check valve is used on all Hot Spring models from 1989 to now and all Tiger River spas. This check valve engages when the diverter valve is changed to different positions. For convenience, the inside diameter of this checkvalve is 1-1/2" and the outside diameter is 2". Price: $15.08 Item #: 35233 Water Check Valve, 3/4"   This 3/4" water check valve is installed in the inlet side of the circulation pumps plumbing to prevent the back flow of water through the circulation pump once the jet pump is activated. All water check valves have arrows stamped on the outside to indicate the direction of flow which should be pointer towards the circulation pump.
