Check Valves

This one way check valve was used in the Hot Spring Grandee from 1989-1993 for the Jet Stream Jet air intake. All jets in a Hot Spring have both an air and water mixture. If someone put there finger in a jet nozzle and restricted the water flow, water could then back flow through the air lines and pour into the equipment compartment. This could short out equipment and/or siphon out the entire spa. Click on the "More Info" button for details.

Air check valve for all 1993-2001 Hot Spring, 1997-2000 Tiger River and 1997-2002 Hot Spot spa models. This check valve is located in the equipment compartment under the bartop. Its primary function is to prevent water from back flowing into the equipment compartment should a hydrotherapy jet become obstructed (like when a guest sticks their finger in the jet).

Note: These check valves age at the same rate. It is best to replace all of them at the same time if budget allows

This 3/16" OD check valve was used on the original exterior wall mounted Freshwater Ozonator. It was positioned just after the injector. Its purpose was to prevent the spa from siphoning out through the Kynar tubing in the unlikely event the spa's power was interrupted and the wall mounted Freshwater Ozonator was mounted below the waterline.

This 3/16" Freshwater II ozone check valve is to prevent water from back flowing into the FreshWater Ozonator if power to the spa is interrupted or the spa is placed on "Summer Mode". "Summer Mode" will shut down the Silentflo 5000 circulation pump 8 hours every day. This in turn stops the intake of ozone into the spas plumbing. Since the ozonator is below the water line of the spa, water can start to "siphon out" into the ozonator if the check valve has failed. Click on the "More Info" button for details.

Over time an ozonator check valve will breakdown under the harsh conditions of ozone. Our OEM check valves have a special diaphragm (Viton) that enables them to last longer than rubber. This 1/2" water check valve is used on the discharge side of the the old Laing circ pumps in pre-1990 Hot Spring 115volt Sovereign, Classic, Prodigy & Jetsetter models. This is for 1/2" plumbing. If your plumbing is 3/4" then use part # 35233

This air check valve is located in the equipment compartment, up high, under the bar top. If a hydrotherapy jet should become obstructed (like when a guest sticks their finger in the jet), this item becomes critical in preventing water from back flowing into the equipment potentially flooding the electrical components. Typical lifespan is 5-7 years. The larger end connects onto your existing tubing and the smaller end is designed for 1/2" inside diameter tubing (70316)

This check valve's function is to "open" when someone puts their hand over the jet pumps suction fitting within the filter intake. This check valve will "open" drawing air into it from the equipment compartment, thereby stopping suction of the jet pump. This safety device is found on all 1993-2002 Hot Spot and all 1992-1999 Tiger River spas.

This retrofit kit is used to replace the air check valve that was used in all 2001 to the 3rd quarter of 2002 Hot Spring spa models. This kit replaces the obsolete 72342. Click on the "More Info" button for details.

This "Jet System" check valve is used on all Hot Spring models from 1989 to now and all Tiger River spas. This check valve engages when the diverter valve is changed to different positions. For convenience, the inside diameter of this check valve is 1-1/2" and the outside diameter is 2".

This 3/4" water check valve is installed in the inlet side of the circulation pumps plumbing to prevent the back flow of water through the circulation pump once the jet pump is activated. All water check valves have arrows stamped on the outside to indicate the direction of flow which should be pointer towards the circulation pump. These low flow water check valves come in two sizes (1/2" #70173 & this 3/4").
